MCP server

Ask for a deck in Slack. Get it back built from your library.

Coadie has an MCP server: the open standard AI assistants use to work with other tools. Connect it to Slackbot, or to another assistant that supports MCP, and your team can ask for a sales deck, answer two questions, and get it back in your theme with every line traced, or ask a question and get an answer from your own documents with the file, page and link.

What does it look like?

@Slackbot ask Coadie for a 10-slide renewal pitch for Northwind Air, meeting is next Tuesday

  2. Coadievia Slackbot9:41 AM

On it. Two quick questions first, so the deck fits the room:

    1. Who will be in the meeting?
    2. What are they most likely to push back on?

Their head of maintenance and someone from procurement. Procurement will push on price.

Thanks — building it from your approved library now.

    1. Read your brief and answers
    2. Chose slides from your library
    3. Put the value story before the price, for procurement

Your deck is ready: Northwind Air — renewal pitch, 10 slides from your library.

Hey @Slackbot, ask Coadie to find me information in regards to our capabilities in Aerospace

  7. Coadievia Slackbot11:05 AM

Here’s what I found in your library:

    • Aircraft maintenance teams use Fieldline to track tools and parts across hangars 1
    • A customer story from a regional airline’s maintenance group 2
    • How Fieldline meets aerospace quality and record-keeping requirements 3

Sample conversation. Fieldline and Northwind Air are made-up companies.

Setup

How do we connect it to Slack?

01

Your Coadie Admin connects the workspace

Company settings → Slack and Teams → Ask Coadie in Slack: paste your Slack workspace ID. Enterprise.

02

Each person adds Coadie in Slackbot

A direct message to Slackbot → Apps → add Coadie.

03

Each person links their account once

The first time, Slackbot sends a link. Sign in to Coadie as yourself and press Link; building decks from Slack is a separate tick.

04

Ask

“Build a renewal pitch for Northwind Air” or “find me information in regards to our capabilities in Aerospace”. Slack asks before each tool runs: once, always, or not.

Using another assistant that supports MCP? We create the connection for each person who needs one. See the developer docs.

Security

Is it safe?

  • The same walls as signing in. Each person acts as their own Coadie account and sees only what they could see in Coadie, never another company’s material.
  • Slack’s identity, checked. Every request from Slackbot must carry Slack’s signature for Coadie’s app; only workspaces your Admin connected are served.
  • Building is off unless chosen, per person, and each deck counts toward your plan like one built in Coadie.
  • Logs without contents. Every request is logged by connection and tool, never with what was asked or answered.
  • Answers come from your library only, with their sources, so a compliance answer can be checked against the document it quotes.
Questions

MCP questions.

Can I build a sales deck from Slack?

Yes, on Enterprise. Ask Slackbot to use Coadie; it asks who will be in the room and what they will push back on, builds the deck from your company’s library in your theme, and sends back a link to it.

What is Coadie’s MCP server?

A connection that lets AI assistants, including Slackbot, use Coadie: build decks, answer questions from your library with sources, and report who read what. MCP is the open standard assistants use to work with other tools.

Which AI assistants can use Coadie?

Slackbot, and any AI assistant that can connect to a remote MCP server.

Can the assistant answer questions from our own documents, with sources?

Yes. It answers only from your Coadie library, each line with its file, slide or page and a link, and says so when nothing in the library answers.

Can it change or delete anything?

It can build a new deck when the person allowed building. It cannot change or delete existing decks, share links or figures.

How is each person’s access kept separate?

Each person links their own Coadie account, and every request runs as that person, with their own limits and log.

See it on your own material.

Bring a handful of your decks. We’ll set up your workspace and build a first deck from them, with every line traced.
