Guide

How to keep sales presentations on-brand at scale.

Sales decks drift off-brand because reps rebuild them from whatever deck is closest, under time pressure, without design help. The fix is structural: make the approved theme and approved content the easiest place to start, and make restyling automatic rather than a policing job.

Causes

Why do decks go off-brand?

  • Copy-paste from old decks brings old logos, fonts and colours with it.
  • Slides from partners and suppliers arrive in someone else’s brand.
  • Templates nobody can find mean reps start from the last deck they sent.
  • Deadlines win over tidiness every time.
Six ways

How do you keep every deck on brand?

01

Make the theme the starting point

New decks should begin in the company theme automatically, not by choice.

02

Restyle, don’t paste

Content from other decks should be redrawn on your layouts rather than pasted with its original styling.

03

Keep one library of approved slides

If reps can find the approved slide in seconds, they stop rebuilding it.

04

Mark what must not be used

Drafts, confidential files and retired content should be excluded from new decks automatically.

05

Protect what must keep its own look

A customer’s or partner’s slide should be allowed to keep their branding.

06

Check contrast and charts

Readable text and colour-blind-safe charts are part of the brand, too.

With Coadie

How does Coadie handle this?

In Coadie, your PowerPoint becomes the theme every deck starts in. Slides drawn from older or outside files are redrawn on your layouts; a whole deck restyles in one press; files marked Draft or Do not use stay out of builds; and files marked “leave these slides as they are” are never restyled. Questions

Brand questions.

How do I stop sales reps changing the brand template?

Make the right template the default starting point and restyle content into it automatically, so the on-brand choice is also the easy one.

What about slides from partners?

Either restyle them into your theme, or deliberately keep their branding when it is their content. Decide per file, not per deck.
