Tome alternatives, after the shutdown.
Tome closed its slides product on 30 April 2025, and the company moved on to an AI CRM called Lightfield. If you used Tome, you need somewhere else to make presentations, and a way to make sure your decks survive if a tool ever closes again. Here are the alternatives, and what to look for.
What happened to Tome?
Tome announced in early 2025 that it would close Tome Slides and turn to sales software. The slides product ended on 30 April 2025; decks that had not been exported were not recoverable afterwards. When we checked on 6 October 2026, tome.app no longer served the product.

Which tools replace Tome?
| Question | Best for | Exports |
|---|---|---|
| Gamma | The closest to Tome’s prompt-to-presentation experience | See Gamma’s plans |
| Pitch | Collaborative, template-based presentations | PowerPoint export from Plus |
| Beautiful.ai | Self-arranging, design-led slides | PowerPoint export |
| Coadie | Sales decks built from your approved content, every sentence sourced, reading measured | PowerPoint and PDF on both plans |
How do you avoid losing decks to a shutdown again?
- Prefer tools that export real files. An editable PowerPoint and a PDF outlive any web app.
- Keep the source material yourself. If your decks are built from your own library, the knowledge is in files you own.
- Export important decks as you go, not when a shutdown is announced.
Coadie downloads every deck as an editable PowerPoint or an exact PDF, on both plans, and its decks are built from files your company uploaded.
Tome questions.
Is Tome still available?
No. Tome closed its slides product on 30 April 2025, and the company now builds an AI CRM called Lightfield.
Can I recover my Tome decks?
According to reports of the shutdown, decks not exported before 30 April 2025 could not be recovered.
What is the best Tome alternative for sales teams?
If you used Tome for customer decks, choose a tool that builds from your own content and exports PowerPoint and PDF. Coadie does both and adds sourced claims and reading analytics.
